25 Year Cabling Warranty

Certifying the integrity of a cabling network can be a very important asset in the decision making process and a long term warranty allows you the satisfaction of knowing your network infrastructure is viable and problem free.

AMP Netconnect offer a 25 year Manufacturer’s warranty on all end to end structured data cabling systems. Your network cabling will be tested with state-of-the art certification equipment. The results will be examined by one of our trained professionals, validated and sent for approval to our Senior Technical Advisor. Upon verification, a copy of the results will be forwarded to you for your records.

Cabletek also offers their personal guarantee for the same length of time for both voice and data networks. A copy of the Manufacturer’s warranty, including terms and conditions, is available on request.

Clearly, this warranty is an advantage your company will benefit from, over the 25 years. Please speak to your representative for further information or clarification.

If service is required our policy states that we will respond within four hours for emergency situations i.e. damaged lines or within 48 hours for problems such as damaged faceplates

 

EXTENDED SERVICE WARRANTY

NORMAL REPAIR

Cabletek Systems will provide repair or replacement during regular business hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

NORMAL REPAIR RESPONSE : The response time for normal repair is the next business day.

EMERGENCY SERVICE RESPONSE: Cabletek Systems will respond within 2 hours in the event of an emergency. Emergency service is provided 24/7 at no cost for any service covered under warranty.

Cabletek Systems Inc. is pleased to offer remote programming for the customers under our extended warranty program that gives you peace of mind and a faster response to your telecommunications requirements.

THIS SERVICE PROVIDES YOU WITH:

 On-line telephone and voicemail programming changes.

 On-line troubleshooting and diagnostics of system hardware and software.

 Telephone support - basic programming consultation.

Cabletek Systems is able to provide this exclusive service by utilizing a Remote Access Device (RAD), a secure hardware interface connection located at the customer site that Cabletek can access remotely. If this equipment is no present, the customer will be responsible to purchase a “RAD” from Cabletek at an additional cost.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 Remote telephone and voicemail programming from 5 to 20 calls per year based on the size of your system. (Additional requests billable at $40.00 per half-hour)

 Programming change request should be emailed or faxed to Cabletek by authorized personnel of your company only.

 If your company has an existing "RAD", the set-up cost for this program is $100.00 (plus taxes)

THIS SERVICE PROVIDES YOU WITH:

 Over the phone basic programming consultation.

 Full back-up of telephone system programming with secure (off-site storage.)

 Confirmation report of completed system back-up faxed to you.

This comprehensive service relieves your staff of worrisome and time-consuming effort, increasing their effectiveness and productivity.

Cabletek Systems is able to provide this exclusive service by utilizing a modem, a secure hardware interface connection located at the customer site and Cabletek's remote PC.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 Remote telephone and voicemail programming to a maximum of 24 calls per year. (Additional requests billable at $25.00 per half-hour)

 Telephone system back-up twice a year, with report faxed to you upon completion

 Programming change request form will be faxed to your company on initial request and the must be completed by authorized personnel.

 If your company does not have an existing modem, the cost of the program is $595.00 (plus taxes)

 If your company has an existing modem, the cost of the program is $295.00 (plus taxes)

 If an Extended Service Warranty is purchased at the end of one year, the program will be renewed at no additional charge. If an Extended Service Warranty is not purchased, remote programming changes will be available at a rate of $25.00 per half-hour increment, and system back-up at a rate of $50.00.

 

SCOPE OF WORK

CABLETEK SYSTEMS INSTALLATION CHARGES INCLUDE:

• All labour and materials to install the following:

Key Service Unit (KSU), Main Distribution Frame (MDF) complete with Bix mounts and cable from the KSU to the MDF.

Telephone set equipment and station wiring from MDF (unless cable in place has been quoted)

Special assemblies, battery backup or paging, if included in the equipment list on the Sales and Install Agreement.

• Delivery charges for the delivery of the equipment to the customer’s site.

 

Unless otherwise specified in the quotation, the customer is responsible to provide and/or pay for the following:

  • • Plywood backboard required to mount the KSU and MDF in the equipment room.

  • • Separately fused 15 amp, 125 volt power receptacle and a suitable grounding source.

  • • All location telephone charges.

  • • Drilling, coring or trenching.

  • • House Cable including;

Riser cable from MDF to Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF).

Distribution cable from one IDF to another IDF.

Telephone company demarcation to MDF.

  • • IDF Bix and associated miscellaneous hardware.

  • • Outside plant (cable from on building to another).

  • • Conduits, or extra charges associated with additional conduit which may be required due to broken or plugged conduit.

  • • Labour to move and/or replace furniture and fixtures if same is blocking conduit access, cable runs or set installation.

  • • Overtime charges incurred by Cabletek Systems to accomplish a cut-over outside of normal business hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday excluding Cabletek Systems company holidays.

  • • Providing a secure storage room for equipment, cable and tools.

  • • Charges resulting from other unforeseeable circumstances or conditions beyond the control of Cabletek Systems.

Additional charges may be applied in instances where the installation has been quoted using Cable in Place or Customer Provided Cable and the cable:

  • a) does not comply with the new system specifications

  • b) is damaged

  • c) has to be moved

Program Description

Preferred Rates for Parts and Components

Customer’s are entitled to discounted rates on all parts and components they wish to purchase for their telephone system and voicemail system including Telephone sets, Line Cords, Trunk cartridges, patch cords etc.

Emergency Response

Cabletek provides two hour emergency response for major failures and next day response for minor failures.  All customers are entitled to receive emergency response 24/7 at a preferred after hours labor rate.

Preferred On-Site Labour Rates

Customers under contract will receive a preferred hourly rate for on-site and dial-up telephone service work. 

Telephone Support

Our service center is available to provide over the telephone support for any simple/ minor technical, feature, or programming questions that may arise.   

Remote Programming

Depending on the program Cabletek can dial into your telephone system to make remote programming changes.  Customers can simply e-mail us the change needed and our technicians will arrange for the needful within hours.  (Note:  a modem or Nortel RAD is required to support this program. If required Cabletek can provide it an extra cost. If setup is required, a chargeable visit by our technician will be required.  

Maintenance Software Releases

To be eligible to receive all patches or maintenance related software releases free, customers’ telephone and voicemail systems must be on current software levels. If not so, customers will be required to pay for the latest software upgrade and related labor. Once it is done, all patches and maintenance related software releases will be provided at no charge. If the customer is using a BCM and has provided Cabletek with VPN access, we will remotely install these patches at no charge or else it will be e-mailed to the customer. If the customer wishes that our technician goes to the site and install these patches, preferred labor rates will be invoiced for used hours.

System Training

Retraining and training of new staff members can be held at your site or at our office.  A minimum amount of training hours is provided for Premium and Executive customers at no charge. Preferred hourly rates apply to all customers.    

System Back-Up / Restore Disk

A complete database back-up will be made remotely in preparation of a system failure. Each time system back-up is made, Cabletek will save it on the Service Computer.  In the event of a database corruption or all data base programming being lost; Cabletek will upload the stored database remotely (Only Norstar MICS/ CICS and BCMs).    

Alarm Reporting

This is a basic alarm reporting feature.  During on-site visits Cabletek technicians will run an alarm report and view the event history. If serious alarms are noted, corrective action will be taken. 

On-Site Programming Changes

While on site performing preventive maintenance duties, Cabletek will make any necessary programming changes, requested by the customer.  Only written and authorized requests will be programmed. This does not include any major programming changes or setup.

Software Upgrades

As the manufacturer releases software upgrades, Cabletek will install these upgrades at no charge.  To qualify, customers must upgrade their system to current software levels first.  Minimum two years contract must be purchased.  

Site Inspections and Cleaning of Main Processor
