Are you ready for what's next?

The new AMP NETCONNECT Category 6 System has been designed to keep pace with the evolving requirements of the Category 6 standard. The individual components of the system, as well as links and channels, comply with all of the proposed requirements of TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1 "Transmission Performance Specifications for 4-Pair 100W Category 6 Cabling". AMP NETCONNECT Category 6 System performance (as well as Zero Bit Error Rate Gigabit Ethernet performance) have also been independently confirmed by Intertek Testing Services (ETL).

Today it's Gigabit Ethernet. Tomorrow it'll be something new. But whatever it is, with the AMP NETCONNECT Category 6 System, you'll be ready for it!

New SL Profile for Higher Density

AMP NETCONNECT Category 6 jacks feature a new, slim SL Series profile. They are compatible with 110Connect Faceplates as well as SL Series Outlets, Office Boxes and the SL Series Furniture Outlet. The jacks offer 110 insulation displacement termination, with either 180 or 90 degree wire dress. They comply with all proposed TIA Category 6 requirements.

Consistent Performance

AMP NETCONNECT Category 6 patch panels incorporate individual Category 6 jacks to provide consistent performance on each port and throughout the system. Individual jacks may be replaced without disturbing other ports if repair is necessary. The panels accommodate 9mm and 12mm labels, match standard sizes for 12, 24, 48 and 96 ports, and are designed to complement AMP NETCONNECT Category 6 cable, patch cables and outlets.

Matched Performance

AMP NETCONNECT Category 6 patch cables provide consistent, controlled performance matched specifically to AMP NETCONNECT Category 6 jacks. They utilize stranded cable for added flexibility and are provided with a special identification label to assist in management and administration. AMP NETCONNECT Category 6 patch cables are available in eight colors, with lengths from 1/2 ft. to 50 ft.

Applications & Warranty

The AMP NETCONNECT Category 6 System represents the leading edge of cabling system performance. There are no current or proposed applications for twisted pair cabling that are beyond the capabilities of this system.
